The Occupational Safety and Health Department is the part of the HSE Team at Nazarbayev University. The Department is led by Marat Tavassov - Director of Managing Director for Environmental Safety, Health and Wellbeing, and includes Department's administrative staff.
The Department works closely with the faculty and managers at the NU community and operational units, safety coordinators, safety committees, and departmental administrators.
The Department's staff works to address safety in several areas: occupational health & safety, laboratory safety, emergency preparedness, environmental safety, and general health safety for the NU members.
Responsibility for occupational safety protection and following Safety Culture is a collaborative task and considered as requirement to all members of Nazarbayev University.
