Certificate - a document issued to a person completing a training and knowledge check on HSE;
Dangerous factor - a factor that may lead to temporary or permanent loss of working capacity (work injury or occupational disease) or death;
Employee - a person who carries out activities on the territory of the University, who is in contractual relations with the University and/or its Organizations or with the sending party (training, performance of works, provision of services, research, rent);
HSE Induction - an introductory instruction, which is mandatory for all individuals working or studying at the University and its Organizations, that contains general information on safety arrangements and existing hazards, and is conducted by the Environmental and Occupational Safety Department (hereinafter - EOSD);
HSE instructor - an authorized person for conducting instructions on HSE, that has relevant qualification, knowledge and experience, as well as relevant certificates;
HSE training - is a learning process where HSE instructor teaches the learners safe work methods as well as HSE laws and regulations;
HSE Training center - is an educational center that provides professional training, retraining and advanced training on HSE to the Executive management, technical managers, engineers, contractors, students and other employees, visitors, as well as other interested parties by request;
Practical training - the stage of professional training aimed at enhancing theoretical knowledge and acquiring, maintaining and improving the necessary skills using various types of training devices and technical equipment;
Student - a person enrolled at the University or has an internship (if a student has an employment contract with the University, he/she is considered as an employee);
The knowledge check - is a process aimed at assessing knowledge and skills on occupational safety, which is carried out after completion of HSE instruction or training programs;
Visitor - a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a foreign citizen, a stateless person who is not an employee or a student, visiting the University;
Workplace instructions - instructions that contain information on dangerous factors and safety measures at a specific workplace, and has three types (primary, refresher and unplanned).
