Register your hazardous waste
Please register hazardous waste upon its transfer to Hazardous Waste Storage Facility room.

When completing the form, please ensure that the container contains waste of only one specific class.

For example, if the weight of your waste container for a specific waste class is 5.400 kg, please input the data as follows:

Hazardous Waste Management Instruction
Hazardous waste is a discarded materials in any form (liquid, solid, sludge, gaseous) that exhibit the characteristics of hazardous wastes, and that must be managed to protect human health and the environment.
Waste management is an important part of the University's activity. According to the decision of the Managing Council, hazardous waste management is carried out in accordance with the laws of RK, and pursues such goals as:
1) reduction of the negative impact of waste on personnel and the
environment;
2) ensuring the compliance with the legislation of the Republic of
Kazakhstan during the waste management;
3) ensuring the full and reliable accounting of waste management and its volume.
Hazardous Waste Management
Hazardous Waste Management are activities related to waste, including prevention and minimization of waste generation, accounting and control, waste accumulation, as well as collection, processing, recycling, disposal, neutralization, transportation, storage (warehousing) and disposal of waste.

Requirements for Removal

  • All waste must be containerized and sealed tightly.
  • Containers must be compatible and in good condition.
  • All waste must be labeled appropriately.
  • Labeled with the words "Hazardous Waste", including Name of the substance, product or any material.
  • Department name and Block.
  • Waste must be clearly marked & placed in storage room.

Hazardous waste passport

the document containing standardized description of the processes of waste generation at its place of origin, its quantitative and qualitative indicators, the rules for waste management, methods for controlling the waste, types of harmful effects of the environment and health of people, information on producers and other people who own it.

Use this sticker to label waste properly.

Passport content

The hazardous waste passport shall include the following mandatory sections:
1) name of hazardous waste and its code pursuant to the waste classifier;
2) waste generator details: individual identification number for a natural person and business identification number for a legal person and its location;
3) location of hazardous waste generating facility;
4) origin of waste: name of technological process, which resulted in waste generation or a process, which resulted in loss of consumer properties of goods (products) with name of original goods (products);
5) a list of the hazardous properties of the waste;
6) chemical composition of the waste and description of hazardous properties of its components;
7) recommended methods of waste management;
8) required precautions for waste management;
9) waste transportation and handling requirements;
10) prevention and elimination of natural and industrial emergencies and their consequences associated with hazardous waste, including during transportation and handling;
11) additional information (other information to be communicated by the waste generator).
